Waiting for Spring

I'm ready for comfortable sleep this spring. I made some warm weather sleep pants using a thrifted sheet I bought last year. It was a pale aqua twin size sheet with eyelet trim at the top edge. I placed the hem line of the pj's along the finished edge of the lace. No more than 30 minutes of stitching. Elastic waist. Done.

Love how you repurpose fabric.

We have a wonderful rumage sale that is going to be every weekend about two miles away in a open barn structure. It will benefit the homeless. A TV station will feature it next week.

Saturday at this sale I got a $1 dress with a jeans top and a gorgeous skirt with my colors. I will repurpose it to a skirt by cutting off the top and putting an elastic waist in. I have many tops to wear with it.

Have you read the book "Color Me Beautiful"? I am a Spring. It is my season!

Thanks for stopping by! On the painted furniture, I know I'm sure some folks might regret if they've painted something really nice. Most of the things I've painted are not a pretty colored wood. I've got some OLD oak that I would never paint. The NEW oak that is out there in kitchens & newer furniture though...I don't have a problem painting that at all. I'm just not a fan of new oak.
