Love Letters

The Professor and I decided not to give each other special occasion cards anymore ~ instead, we are writing a "love letter" for the other in a blank journal on each special occasion. We have matching journals that the Professor picked up at the book store. I like to decorate the page besides writing. So far: our anniversary and Valentine's Day.

Over the coming years, we will be able to go back and read the thoughts of previous years. And they will be all bound up neatly. For good.

Good idea, Professor! You will save money also, another value in addition to love. More money for ballroom dance lessons!

My husband with Alzheimer's picked out a wonderful card for me. He wouldn't be able to write it now, but he carefully selected a $7.99 Hallmark card that says,
"I love a woman who's not afraid to speak her mind r take a side.
I love a woman who sherishes her family but knows how to enjoy som just-for-her time, too.
I love a woman who makes her husban feel like the luckiest person in the world.
Thank you for being that woman I love and for loving me with all your heart."
(Tears and smiles.)
That card is a keeper.

Hi A.D. thanks for stopping by my blog, it's nice to meet you.

I love this idea, so much better than cards, and I suspect it makes one write just a bit more...think I am going to do this.
