Yesterday Greta threw a Bridesmaid's Tea, and I baked 18 dozen mini cupcakes for the wedding. Greta requested three cake flavors, each decorated in its own way. I decorated the yellow cake cupcakes with a variegated green swirl:
The orange cupcakes got a white swirl with candied orange peel petals and a green dot of buttercream. I made the candied orange peel from an online recipe:
The chocolate cupcakes are our favorite. They have a white swirl with two little green leaves and a tiny blue flower in the center. The liners I used for these are also the best kind. They are foil instead of paper. We found that the foil stays tight to the cake, while the paper ones peel off before they are supposed to:
