Snow Days

Not much "making" or "doing" since the first of the year, what with undecorating the house and getting life back to normal, and then illness and snow. But today, feeling a tad better, I decided to enjoy our unusually deep snow.

Let me introduce Snow Nana! With her very own (borrowed) accessories! Sadly, she lasted only a few hours before she fell over.

I'm sorry to ask this but what is that brown stuff under your snow?

Here is Connecticut we used to have something like that...I think it used to be grass. However, since I have had 2 to 3ft of snow on the ground since Christmas I don't recall what "under the snow" looks like.

Yes, sadly, we think it's a life-changing event when we get 2" of snow at once. We EXPECT to see brown grass all winter.
